STORY

Green eggs.

Green eggs?? Sure enough. And bluish, too. No special diet or strange herbs, these eggs come from a special breed of chicken that lays colored eggs. In this photo, the lighting can be changed from full sunshine (mouse up), to blue sky (bottom right) to fluorescent lights (bottom left).

The camera was set to white ballance for full sun. Who knows what a d550 actually does with color. I can‘t imagine it actually puts a filter in, it simple multiplies the rgb by some formula. There is no setting for ‘dont mess with the raw pixels’.

Full sun is pretty clear cut, not much overpowers full sunshine. Blue sky, there was a lot of green pine to the right, brightly lit by the sun. I wonder if that could be noticed on the white egg?? The fluorescent light was in a sunny room, with a mix of bulbs and quite a bit of window light.

Mouse mixing is just via opacity. It would be fun to make a real vector based mixer, that could do difference. Save for later.

Happy Easter!
