Shohola Brook

A talkative mountain brook, up in the Bear Mountains of Pennsylvania. Each stone in the pouring water gives voice to turbulent structured sound. Near the ground deep low notes slide up into watery hiss as one stands, and walking a few paces unveils water-fall crashing from tubular flow.

It is early spring, only the wintergreen still showing in the litter.
